Zhang Liqing, professor, dean and director of Academic Committee at School of Finance, Central University of Finance and Economics. He received his PhD degree in economics from School of Economics, Renmin University of China. He is the receiver of the State Council Special Government Allowances, and is elected in National Cross-century Talents Project, New Century Talent Supporting Project of Ministry of Education and Cross-century Academic leader of Ministry of Finance. He has served as senior visiting scholar of Tilburg University, World Bank Institute, American International Economics Institute, Columbia University Earth Institute and Australian National University.


He also serves as deputy director of Chinese Society of World Economy, managing director and deputy secretary general of Chinese Society of International Finance, managing director of Chinese Society of International Economic Relations, member of Chinese Society of Finance committee, chairman of Asia- Pacific Economic and Finance Forum, member of Asian Economic Panel, New York/Tokyo/Seoul, member of China Security Regulatory Commission the 12th Trail Will, member of People’s Bank of China Monetary Policy Committee expert advisory group, member of Liu Hongru Endowment for Financial Education and academic degrees committee of People’s Bank of China Postgraduate Faculty.


Major Research Area: International Finance and Macroeconomic. He has led research subjects from Natural Science Foundation of China, National Social Sciences Fund and Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences. The research projects involve capital account open of emerging market economy, financial liberalization, global imbalance, international monetary reform, economic globalization as well as exchange rate and monetary internationalization. He has published more than 80 academic journals and papers on Economic Research, World Economy, Financial Research, International Finance Research and more than 10 books.
