Liu Hengwei, Ph.D in Engineering, researcher of King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center. He is also the researcher of School of Economics and Management, Harbin Institute of Technology and Chongqing Government Development Research Center; the oversea committee member of Qingdao Association for International Exchange of Personnel, the co-fonder of Massachusetts Institute of Technology China Energy and Environment Research Society; and the reviewer of Energy Policy, Energy Economics, Global Environment Change.

He was a post Ph.D candidate at School of Kennedy Government at Harvard University, Tufts Fletcher School and Tsinghua-BP Clean Energy Research Center. Dr. Liu Hengwei has more than 10 years research experiences and working experience on energy technologies, energy strategies and energy policies. He has published more than 30 journal articles and research reports as the first author or co-author, has one patent as co-inventor, one utility model patent, two national software copyright patents. His invention supersonic naturel gas separator technology has been widely used in Shengli Oil Field.
